18s. We have 2 teams competing at under 15s whilst the open age run 2 teams and our most recent addition is our Masters team for those between the ages of 35 and 80.

Below you will find details about each of our teams together with contact details for those tasked with running the teams.

Under 7s

The under 7s are the babies of the club and have great fun at training making new friends and learning the fundimentals of the game. The team is coached by Liam James, who plays for the open age teams though is currently injured with knee ligament damage.

Under 8s 

 The Under 8′s are part of the future of Crosfields, they train and play together, as a bunch of friends, always ready to support one another, these kids just enjoy their rugby, Darren Roberts is the Head Coach and is well suported by his helpers.

Under 9s

This season sees the lads step up to under 9′s and following last seasons progress should prove a stern test for our very large squad. We are all looking forward to the challenge and growing together again as a unit. We always play with a smile on our faces and this year will be no different.

Under 10s

The under 10s have been playing together for around 2 and a half years now and their core skills are really progressing under the coaching of Greg Wainwright and his team.

Under 11s

 The under 11′s back up a very successful season continuing to learn the core skills of Rugby League.  With 16 players signed on and two fully qualified coaches the team will continue to grow.

Under 12s

Under 13′s

Our under 13s were very unlucky to miss out on a spot in the Premier Division for their first season in competetive rugby but they are looking forward to proving a point and chasing promotion this season under the stewardship of Mark Moore and Paul Radley. New players are always  made to feel welcome by this progressive and vastly improving team.

Under 14′s

After being a hard fought relegation battle in the Prem last season, the 14s are looking forward to the new season after tweaking a few things during the summer and recruiting a few players they are fully expected to be challenging at the top of division 1

Under 15′s Cobras

Crosfields u15s where unlucky to miss out on promotion last season after a couple of slip ups however they have worked hard during the pre-season and are looking forward to the new season where they hope to be challenging at the top of the division.

Under 16s

Throught the leadership of Steve Fox this bunch of lads are really showing improvement and they just missed out on back to back promotions last season. After working hard on their fitness during the summer in the Gym their oposition are certainly going to come across a strong and physical side.

Under 17s

After winning the 1st division at under 16s these lads are really looking forward to the challenge in the Premiership this season. The 17s have receuited very well in the off season and are not going into the prem just to make the numbers up.

Under 18s

This is the sqauds final year under the coaching of Russ Malley and Dave who have coached these lads for the last 6 or 7 years. Playing in the 1st Division at 18s is a very strong division and they are looking forward to the challenge and the opportunity to link up and train with the open age.

Open Age – 1st Team

Crosfields Open gae 1st team play in the 2nd Division of the National conference which is regarded as the best Amatuer competition in the country. Under the leadership of Steve Pickersgill and Mark Hickey the side are looking forward to making an impact on the division this season after a good pre-season and a strong recruitment drive.

Open Age – 2nd Team

Fancy a game of rugby and a few pints afterwards then the 2nd team is for you. Playing in division 5 of NWC the 2nd team is a social team for lads that enjoy the crack and a few drinks afterwards. Dont think that its not competetive though, on the pitch everyone wants to win and competition for places is tuff.

Masters Team

A recent addition to the club is a masters team for those aged between 35 and 80. The game is mixed rules and definatley very social, play rugby for an hour and drink for 8 is most teams philosophy.
