Before the game started both sets of players and parents showed their respect with a minutes silence.
With the Cobras down to only 2 big forwards to try and match the strong running Miners Team, Both Ravir Sidhu and Alex Burns stood up and lead the team forward with some excellent drives down the pitch which set up some valuable field position for the Player of the Match Luke Little and Joe Kohe-Love to run in some tries. But the Cobra were not having it all there own way as this Miners team kept gaining yards and going over for some tries themselves. The Cobras could not come to terms with this bigger physical team and where falling off tackles which is something we rarely see from this side. Ben Lomax ran over untouched from Dummy Half to complete the first half scoring. After a reshuffle and some pointers as to where we was go wrong it was time to step up our efforts. The second half start well with Top Tackler Joshua Hobden on only his first full game for The Team of 2020 really showed the more experienced players how to handle this Miners team, this seemed to encourage the home team to step up their defensive duties. Most Improved Player Joel Lynch and Tyler Roberts went over to increase our advantage, 7-3 Cobras top Attacker Alex Burns got his reward for some excellent defensive work and powerful Drives with a try near the end.
