The Team of 2020 played in what was an interesting encounter against local rivals Newton Storm.
With the rain coming down hard and both teams playing well in the conditions, the cobras held firm for most of the game and only allowing the Storm over on a few occasions thanks to the tireless defending of Player of the Match Luke Little and Top Tackler Tyler Roberts.
At the other end the cobras passed the ball well in the slippery conditions and scored numerous tries thanks to Joe K-Love, Tyler Roberts, Dean Beddall, Ben Lomax, Joel Lynch and Marshall Jones scoring his first try for the Cobras. All credit must go to the boys today as the way they played when up against all the odds!! and they never once took a backwards step and that’s what frustrated the Storm.
Well Done Boys you conducted yourselves well and never got frustrated with things and you can all be proud of that today! You are a Credit to the Club and play the game how it should be played!!
